William G. Robbins

William "Bill" Robbins is an emeritus distinguished professor of history at Oregon State University. He has authored many books outlining the history of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

His most recent book, co-authored with Larry Landis, Benton's Story: An Oregon County History, is the most comprehensive account of Benton County history to date.

Larry Landis

Larry Landis retired from Oregon State University after nearly 30 years of archival work (1991-2020). For a third of that time, he operated as the director of the Special Collections and Archives Research Center at OSU (2011-2020).

History and historical preservation run in Landis' veins. He has served on many special projects and committees dedicated to the subject, including our very own Benton County Historical Society board of directors.
