Braver Angels Debate

Wednesday, June 25, 2025
6:00 pm

Benton County Historical Society is partnering with Braver Angels to present a local debate in support of the Citizens Commission on Immigration. There are no winners or losers in a Braver Angels debate; rather, the goal is to hear and understand those with opposing views.

Immigration is a complicated topic. The evening’s debate will focus on this statement: “Resolved: Our immigration policy should prioritize economic benefit to the United States over the extended families of immigrants.”

Please RSVP if you are interested in attending this free community event!

Braver Angels is a citizens' organization uniting red and blue Americans in a working alliance to depolarize America. Braver Angels' mission is to bring Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic. We try to understand the other side's point of view on issues, even if we don't agree with it. We engage those we disagree with, looking for common ground and ways to work together. Our goal is not to change other people's views of issues, but to change their views of each other.
