SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

Two options for educators!
School groups planning field trips to the Corvallis Museum can schedule the What is an Artifact? school tour program, or are welcome to schedule self-guided visits to both our Philomath and Corvallis museums.

Corvallis Museum

What is an Artifact?

School Tour Program

  • Students become artifact detectives, practicing what questions to ask with hands-on objects, then explore the galleries to analyze artifacts on their own.
  • The program lasts one hour, is intended for grades 3 – 6, and includes pre- and post-visit materials.
  • Admission is free for students, teachers, and 1 chaperone for every 5 students. Additional adults are $5 per person at the Corvallis Museum, and free at the Philomath Museum.

We require a ratio of 1 chaperone for every 5 students grades 5 and under, and 1 chaperone for every 10 students grades 6-8. Guided tours should be booked at least two weeks in advance of your visit.
