The Majestic Theatre in downtown Corvallis is pleased to bring a preview performance of our 10 Tiny Dances® show to the Benton County Museum on Sunday, February 23rd at 2pm! 10 Tiny Dances® provides an audience with a uniquely intimate experience. Dancers face the challenge of performing on a stage that is 4 feet x 4 feet x 1.5 feet high.
The “less is more” principle brings an intense focus to the contained dances. Dancers present ballet, modern, contact improv, tap, jazz, tango, Columbian dances, hip hop, all expressing the theme – “BOOKS – tell me a story.“ Will one of your favorite books come to life before your eyes? Our Benton County Museum preview performance will present a small sampling of the dances in the full show, followed by an interactive Q&A with dancers and director Mishele Mennett. The full show will be presented in the Majestic Lab Theatre on March 1st and 2nd at 3pm and 7pm on both days.
The companion Tiny Art Show, coordinated by AliceAnn Eberman, will display a selection miniature 4” x 4” artwork to accompany the performance. This is a fun community multi-art event, and sales of the art during the full performances of the show serve as a benefit for the Majestic Theatre.
