What is an Artifact?

School Tour Program

  • Students become artifact detectives, practicing what questions to ask with hands-on objects, then explore the galleries to analyze artifacts on their own.
  • The program lasts one hour, is intended for grades 3 – 6, and includes pre- and post-visit materials.
  • Admission is free for students, teachers, and 1 chaperone for every 5 students. Please contact education@bentoncountymuseums.org to book your visit.

We require a ratio of 1 chaperone for every 5 students grades 5 and under, and 1 chaperone for every 10 students grades 6-8. Field trips should be booked at least two weeks in advance of your visit.
